2️⃣ Common Scenario: Passing Off a Child as a Biological Child to Obtain a Birth Certificate

Many people assume that once the registration is successfully completed, the matter is settled.

However, JPN’s systems have been significantly upgraded and are now linked with numerous hospitals.

3️⃣ Verification Methods Following System Upgrades

Even after a registration has been approved, the investigation unit may:

📌 Contact the hospital directly to verify whether the child was born there
📌 Use the system to check whether the hospital has a birth record for the child and to identify the recorded biological mother

Hospitals are generally able to provide such information within a short period of time.
